Book Bands

Book Band Packs are a  selection of children's books from gold band through to black, using the UCL IOE banding criteria.  Books are banded taking account of a range of features including: content and context, sentence structure and length, vocabulary, density of text to illustration, thematic complextiy, sophistication of visual language.
